It's been a fun couple of weeks for us. Abigail and I met up with our Cook friends in Asheboro, NC at the NC Zoo. We had such a great time visiting and catching up. Abigail had a great time, but is still a bit young to fully enjoy the zoo.
This last weekend the three of us met up with Melissa and Erica (our Hokie friends) in Boone, NC for a fun day of exploring downtown and hiking on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The foliage was absolutely beautiful. We needed a little country getaway! Erica sent me some awesome pictures, so when I download those, I'll post a few for you.
On an even more exciting note, Abigail took her first steps on October 21! Mark was even home to witness it. She's a bit timid with it, so we'll just have to keep practicing. So exciting to watch your little one learn new things! Maybe we'll get some footage of it on the blog for you to see too.

What a great post! The Cook girls are growing up fast. And a picture of Melissa too. Congrats, little Abigail on your first steps! Can't wait to see a video soon.
